I read the post regarding issues with printing. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community. Today, the Print Utility said the printer was IDLE, but another message on the Print Utility Window under the queued doc said, "Waiting for printer to become available." There was no other doc in the queue.Īny suggestions will be appreciated. Twice I've given up and shut everything down and printed the doc the next day.

One time the doc actually printed after waiting 3 or 4 minutes. This is the same genuine HP Cyan cartridge that was problem-free before the update.ģ) Three times docs have become "stuck" in the printing queue and just sit there. I remove it, replace it, and all is well for a couple of weeks.

The printer used to happily sleep for days at a time.Ģ) Four times I've received an error message that the Cyan cartridge is either missing or mis-installed. I see a second occurrence of a very similar pattern a bit further in the file: "APPLE SSD TS".The printer is connected only to my iMac via cabling, not wireless.Īfter updating my operating system, I downloaded and installed the latest HP software, and things seemed fine initially, but problems soon surfaced:ġ) Printer will no longer sit idle/sleep for very long before power button and screen buttons flash manically, screen turns white, and a single line of black text says, "Please turn printer off then on." I hit the Power button once and the printer comes to life with the little start-up tune, and usually is fine for a while after that.
